Clare Boam's at the old Co-Op, 22-38 North Street was established in the early 1980s, and has featured in several national newspapers and magazines.

In a recent article it was described as an eccentric store, an unforgettable experience and a junk hunter's paradise, consisting of rambling rooms with piles of furniture, china, linens and metals from all eras.

We have 10,000 square feet of internal space, as well as an external courtyard and have always had a very extensive stock with prices from 10p to £500, ranging from antiques and collectables to retro, vintage and modern. New stock arrives daily but particularly on a Thursday, when we open the gates for the trade at 8.30am.
