Coronation walk is a pleasant tree lined section of the River Waring close to the point where it meets the River Bain. Alongside it are the town’s playing fields and a children’s play park.

It’s also home to many of Horncastle sports clubs, including the cricket pitch, tennis club and indoor bowls. The tennis courts can be booked by members for a small fee. Visitors are also welcomed at the bowls club during the summer months for social bowling.

There is also an indoor public swimming pool and fitness suite run by Magna Vitae.

Access by car is off Cagthorpe and South Street, but pedestrians can also cross the river from Jubilee Way or West Street.
