The National Cycle Route (NCR1) passes through Market Rasen, making it the ideal stop off for cyclists.

The route is accessible from the east of Lincoln before using cycle lanes and cycle paths along the A46. Once out of the city it makes use of country lanes to Market Rasen. After which it rises up on to the Lincolnshire Wolds before descending in to Barton-upon-Humber where it crosses the Humber Bridge to Hessle in Yorkshire.

To view the whole of National Cycle Route 1 visit the Sustrans website.

A route has also been developed by Cycle Lincolnshire, allowing you to experience many different aspects of Lincolnshire. Route 4 heads north of Lincoln on the National Cycle Route through a procession of sleepy villages to Market Rasen.

On your return to Lincoln you might even catch a glimpse of the RAF Red Arrows flying overhead before arriving back in the city. To find out more and download the route visit the Cycle Lincolnshire website.
