This illustrated talk by Neil Wright is organised jointly by the Society for Lincolnshire History & Archaeology and Boston Guildhall.

It will show many buildings demolished in the last fifty years or earlier that were used in lots of different industries in Boston. They include two ironworks that sent steam engines and other products worldwide, feather factories and works that made cigars.  Transport industry losses include railway offices where locomotives were designed in the 1840s sheds to store locomotives, workshops where they were repaired and creosote plants, riverside warehouses, dock warehouse, coal chutes a fish quay and turnpike toll-houses.
