Success at the Teenage Market!

We are halfway through the Teenage Market season now and it has been a fantastic success. Young traders aged 25 and under have been signing up for a season of markets across the East Lindsey area.

The first market was in Horncastle followed by Spilsby and Louth.

The Teenage Market is a fast-growing nationwide initiative set up by teenage brothers Joe and Tom Barratt in Stockport to transform our town and city centres with the creativity of young people. Supporters of The Teenage Market include businessman Theo Paphitis, designer Wayne Hemingway and retail guru Mary Portas, who described the initiative as being "innovative and inspiring".

The markets still be held this year are as follows:

  • 14th July – Teenage Market as part of the Spilsby Show (10am – 3pm)
  • 10th August - Horncastle Teenage Market (9am – 3pm)
  • 24th August - Louth Teenage Market (9am – 3pm)
  • 14th September - Spilsby Teenage Market (9am – 3pm)

We are very exited to be bringing the Teenage Market to the Spilsby Show on the 14th July for the first time.  Young traders will have the opportunity to trade at a very busy county show which attracts thousands of people.

Getting involved couldn't be simpler.

Simply create your trader or performer profile on the Teenage Market website and then apply to take part by visiting https://theteenagemarket.co.uk/sign-up/trader/

We have traders selling a vast range of products from plants to taxidermy animals to crochet, jewellery, papercrafts and woodwork.

This year we are particularly proud to announce that Meghan Barnard has successfully made it through the first round of the Young Trader competition which was held in Gainsborough. This means she is onto the regionals. Meghan is a regular trader at our Teenage Markets selling a fantastic range of handmade jewellery. Her stall is always beautifully laid out and catches everyone’s eye.
