West View was once a farm. Over the past thirty years it has evolved from a working farm to tourism being its main income. The barns were converted into three self-contained cottages in 1998. This proved to be very successful.

Diversification came in 2005 - the old chicken hatchery was converted into 2 B&B bedrooms (Barn and Tawny Owl). The beamed ceiling gives the experience of sleeping in a barn, but with home comforts. A third bedroom (Little Owl) replaced an outside toilet and shower, and an entrance and lounge for guests.

In 2008 we extended the dining room by adding a conservatory, an ideal place for guests to dine or relax overlooking the garden. We welcome our guests with a drink and homemade scones, served either in the conservatory or on the patio.

First impressions count so attention to detail is paramount, cleanliness, fluffy towels, dressing gowns and toiletries.

Breakfast must be of good quality, so we source it locally or from the garden. Eggs come from our hens and are cooked in a variety of ways or served with smoked haddock or salmon, or a continental breakfast is served with homemade preserves.

Our motto is relax, rest and recharge.
