Here at Love Horncastle, we have been knee deep in festive planning for a while. So it is lovely to see that in the last few days, the lights have gone up in town and the Lions have been busy putting up Christmas trees on shop fronts. How many can you count!
There will be plenty of family fun this December, kicking off with the awesome: Festive Fabuloso which starts in Horncastle on 2nd December. From 3pm the preparations will start for a 4pm start. Festive Fabuloso will see the towns of Horncastle, Alford, Louth, Spilsby and Wainfleet (which are all part of our Vital and Viable Market Towns programme) brought to life with illuminations, street theatre and some crazy, creative, interactive installations! The Market Place will be lit up with some unusual colours and projections and the Fabuloso Musical Organ will return. We are hoping that many of our local businesses will open late on the night. The tour then continues at these locations:
Wainfleet Market Place: 3rd Dec, 12 to 6pm
Louth Cornmarket: 8th Dec, 4pm to 8pm
Alford Market Place: 9th Dec, 4pm to 8pm
Spilsby Market Place: 10th Dec, 4pm to 8pm
School children have been busy preparing for the events by creating weird and wonderful art in a series of workshops. Here is a sample of what they have been up to!
Make sure you join us on 2nd December to see these drawings transformed into works of art.
Horncastle Window Wanderland
Following on from this, we are so excited about this year's Christmas Window Wanderland which runs from 8th to 11th December. Shops, businesses and residents are encouraged to sign up to this free event and create a magical window display. You can find out more here:

The Christmas Market - Teenage Village
Something a bit different comes to the Horncastle Christmas Market this year with the addition of the Christmas Market Teenage Village. Following on from the success of previous Teenage Markets this year, we are really excited about the creation of a Teenage Village area. Find us along Wharf Road near the library on 11th December. The Festivals Committee have been working really hard to create a magical Christmas market for everyone so do come along and support it.
