Trinity Arts Centre
A unique picture-house and theatre housed in a stunning grade II listed Church, Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough aspires to be a thriving cultural hub and a centre of excellence for artistic programming, community engagement, artist development and customer experience.
The venue has welcomed well-known names such as Kiki Dee, John Challis and Seth Lakeman, just to name a few, as well as hosted countless crowd-pleasing events from Jason Manford’s Comedy Club to the annual Christmas Pantomime.
In addition to offering entertainment in the traditional manner, it serves as a cultural campus for those wishing to be enriched by the transformative nature of the performing arts. With several youth groups choosing Trinity Arts Centre as the venue for their programmes and having helped showcase local talent on both its own stage in addition to the recent ‘Revive’ Festival in Gainsborough, the cultivation of fresh artistic talent is always front and centre.
The building itself dates back to 1843, when it first opened its doors for public worship. The Holy Trinity Church provided schooling to the youth of Gainsborough and remained a place of worship until the 1970s, when the Church of England decommissioned it.
