Celebrating this December in Horncastle

The weather has definitely changed and thoughts are turning to the festive season in the town. The street lights, trees, shops and cafes all look fantastic and hopefully everyone is starting to feel like Christmas is just around the corner.

There’s lots of lovely things to do this month with businesses, charities, churches and other organisations planning some fantastic events. Why not have a look at some of the ideas below. You can also get a daily summary by looking at the digital screen in the window of the Joseph Banks Centre.

Three unique “Festive Fabuloso” activities are planned in the town this month. On Friday 3rd pop along to the Market Place during the daytime to see the unveiling of their Marvellous Musical Machine and watch the street performers who will be entertaining everyone too. On Thursday 9th there will be a beautiful light projection show in the evening. Finally, throughout the whole of December you can see the winning entries to the Art Competition which will be displayed in Mortimer Gallery on North Street.

Many of the town’s shops and eateries will be opening late on Thursday 9th, 16th and 23rd plus on Saturday 18th when we are informed that “Something Special” will be happening by Horncastle Trade Association. Please pop along to join in the fun and support your favourite businesses.
