Step by step instructions
  1. Let's set off!
  2. 1

From the Market Place in Burgh le Marsh turn left along High Street towards and past the windmill. Cross Ingoldmells Road and continue straight on along the pavement of Richard Holmes Way. Ignore the first public footpath on your left.

  3. 2

Turn left onto the second public footpath, between two bungalows, and walk along the driveway to a field. Cross the small field by bearing slightly right to a gate and road. CROSS THE BUSY ROAD WITH CARE to the public footpath opposite.

  4. 3

Cross the field, by bearing slightly right, to the hedge. Turn right and follow the footpath beside the hedge for approximately 600m to some barns.

  5. 4

Continue straight ahead and cross the next field to the hedge corner. Carry straight on, keeping the hedge on your right to a bridge. Cross the bridge and continue ahead with the ditch on your left. Cross another bridge and continue ahead along the field edge. At the end of the hedge continue straight across the field to a bridge and walk straight on, keeping the hedge/ditch on your left. Where the ditch bends left walk straight on across the field to a bridge. Cross the bridge and continue along the field edge to a road.

  6. 5

Cross the road and continue along the footpath directly opposite, keeping to the field edge, with the ditch on your left, to a bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on to another bridge.

  7. 6

Cross the bridge and turn left. After approximately 20m turn right through the hedge into a caravan park. Bear left, between the caravans, to a road. Turn left and follow the road to the right and then turn left after the second caravan to a bridge in the hedge.

  8. 7

Cross the bridge and turn right and follow the hedge line behind the caravans to a footpath sign. Bear left, across the grass, to a road. Turn left and at the T-junction turn right and follow the road through the caravan park for approximately 400m to a junction with the main site road.

  9. 8

Turn left and then almost immediately right along a public footpath. Follow this path, as it turns to the right, behind the caravans and then past the lake to the road (A158). Bus stops outside Southview Leisure Park allow you to catch the bus to Skegness or Burgh le Marsh.

  10. 9

CROSS THE BUSY ROAD WITH CARE and turn right to walk along the verge for approximately 100m, before turning left onto a public footpath. Follow the path to a bridge. Cross the bridge and turn right to follow the field edge to another bridge.

  11. 10

Cross the bridge and bear left across the field to a footpath sign at the field edge. Turn left and follow the path to the road.

  12. 11

Turn left along the road and at the bend turn right onto a public footpath. Walk straight across the field to the right hand end of the hedge line and a bridge. Cross the bridge and continue ahead in front of the houses, then behind houses beside a ditch, between two fence lines to a road. Cross the road and follow the footpath opposite, again between two fence lines to a road.

  13. 12

Turn right and follow the roadside pavement. Turn right onto Old Wainfleet Road, and at the T-junction turn left. Follow this road into Skegness. The bus station is located behind the railway station, off Richmond Drive.

  14. You made it! Well done.
